This relaxing strip of coast in Southwest Tenerife is home to some of the island's best hotels and resorts. Stretching down just a few miles from the town of Playa de las Americas, it manages to pack a massive amount into a small space. Adeje itself is about 5km inland off the sourthern coast of Tenerife. This selection is more on the coast than in the town. Attractions in Costa Adeje

The most popular attraction in the area is the Barranco del Infierno, the deepest gorge in all of the Canaries. It's a walker's paradise and an oasis of rich vegetation, subterranean caves and mini waterfalls. Another beautiful old site that's worth a trek is the Iglesia de Santa Ursula: a rustic old church with mossy walls and a golden glowing interior.

Golf Courses in Costa Adeje

Two other major draws are the pair of 18 hole golf courses, both dotted with palm trees and overlooking the lapping sky blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. This being the island of perpetual springtime of course, there's no bad time to play.

If you want something a little wilder, you can try the nearby Skypark with its exhilarating bungee rides! Adeje truly caters for all needs, including transport and is conveniently close to Tenerife's major international airport: Reina Sofia, which is less than 15 miles away.
