Make the most of the many museums, monuments and churches that are around and about, squares, galleries and art filled streets. Time out in the Retiro Park as you enjoy nature and the peace and tranquillity that has been created here.

Good stuff: Fairly spacious room considering it was in the city centre very near Plaza Puerto Del Sol. It had a good sized bathroom with a hi tech shower that had eight seperate water jets that could all be used at once if so required!

Bad stuff: Faster check in and staff on reception not stopping the check in process to take phone calls. More than one person on reception at a time.

Overall: This hotel was chosen mainly for its central location, very near to Sol Metro (200 metres), Plaza Puerto Del Sol and Plaza Mayor with its many restaurants and Tapas bars. Rooms were fairly spacious for a hotel in such a location and clean, tidy and comfortable. Some rooms had balconies that overlooked the main street so you could watch the world go by. No real complaints at all about the hotel other than when we arrived the electrical power had gone in all rooms and lifts. When questioned about it staff said there was a major power cut in the area, however, everywhere outside seemed to have power. So when we got to the room and unpacked/showered it was in darkness! Also, on the last morning there was no hot water in the two rooms we had; a mention of this to the staff brought little reaction. However, all in all a good hotel and I would stay there again.
