If and when you feel like venturing further afield we are just a few minutes from the centre of Cordoba. The Cathedral is well worth a visit - built inside the Mezquita Mosque displaying fine architecture, creative and beautiful designs. The Jewish Quarter is where you will find one of the last three remaining synagogues in Spain with tiny streets, flower filled pots and locals with a tale to tell.
Churches, monuments, palaces and museums fill the city. Pay special attention to the Alcazar de los Reye Cristianos Palace with its walled gardens and wonderful water features. The museums of Archaeology, Bullfighting and Fine Arts are all worth your time. Special tribute is paid to the Cordoba painter Julio Romero at the Torres Museum.
Make sure you take home a few souvenirs - a famous Cordoba hat, lace, ceramics, silverware and jewellery are all on offer. Leather works that were introduced by the Moors are also a speciality.
