Juan Miguel Granada Acera del Darro, 24 Online Booking
With all modern amenities including internet, the luxury of free newspapers and our very own Juan Miguel coffee shop you can get up, breakfast and enjoy reading the latest whilst enjoying a cafe con leche. Once ready to explore the sights you are just a short walk to the shopping centres. There is a wide range of shopping to be enjoyed - everything from the mainstream outlets to the department stores, boutiques, handicrafts, antiques, traditional fayre and unusual Moroccan artwork - made from coloured hardwood and bones.
The old Arabian Quarter is a place to enjoy - cobbled streets, ancient architecture and authentic cafe bars where you can enjoy tapas and the local wines or Jerez. Opposite the Arabian Quarter is the exquisite "heaven on earth" creation - the Alhambra Palace - built over centuries and once the home of the Sultans of Arabia.
Festivals, fiestas, processions, parades and celebrations take place throughout the year but one of the highlights is at the end of June - the Festival of the Albaicin where you will see a flourish of horses, horse-drawn carriages, colour, life and music. On 3rd May is the Day of the Cross where all the town walk with raised crosses that have been decorated with flowers. Truly magical.
Be sure to try all the gastronomic delights - chicken with garlic, fried beans with ham and the traditional Spanish Tortilla. Enjoy.
