 We are located on Las Ramblas and Plaza de Catalunya - the heartland of Barcelona. The tree lined avenue stretches from the Plaza de Catalunya all the way down to the Port and the Statue of Christopher Columbus, from there you can walk across the board walk to the exhibition centres including Emax Virtual Reality Cinema - quite an experience and something the whole family will enjoy. Continue round to Barceloneta and there you will find cool cafes, restaurants, gift shops and art displays and fabulous views across the port area and out to sea.
Las Ramblas is probably most famous for its flower and bird stalls and its street cafes where you can enjoy some tasty tapas and cool beer or wine. The area known as the Gothic Quarter is about half way down - home to the Cathedral, Kings Plaza and Picasso's museum - some amazing work to be viewed.
If you love walking then many of the sights in the city can be reached if you plan carefully - Arc de Triomphe down to the Park, Museum of Modern Art and Zoo, across to the Olympic Village for a fish supper or walk a little further in the early morning and spend the day on the beaches there - Bogatell, Marbella or Nova Icaria.
Sun, sea and sand, flowers, fountains and charm, city life combined with beach life and ancient architecture make this a uniquely and popular destination.
