Stepping out to Las Ramblas where you will find stalls, cafe bars, fashion houses, jewellers all within a tree lined avenue. At the top is Plaza de Catalunya, El Corte Ingles Department Store, close by is the University and a fabulous metro system will take you to other parts of the city where you can enjoy sights such as Sagrada Familia - designed by Gaudi and estimated to take 200 years to complete.
The bottom end of Las Ramblas leads to the port area where you will find Barceloneta, exhibition centres, beaches the the Olympic Village.
