Wonderful and centrally located so you can take full advantage of all that there is on offer in the town. Cadiz is the oldest town in Europe and is steeped in history, mystery and charm. As you walk around the narrow streets, notice the 18th century walls and admire the Landward Gate you cannot help but see how the old and new have merged to provide a place of evolution. There's is an old sense to the city but nevertheless you can have all that the modern world offers you too.
Stroll around the shops and treat yourself to some retail therapy - fine fashions and local handicrafts - jewellery and gifts that will delight. There are speciality shops selling wonderful cheeses, hams and local produce.
There's a relaxed and easy going feel to the town and its reputation for being liberal and tolerant has given it an altruistic arena where you feel safe and cared for.
Walk around the headlands from where you can see the whole town - take those photographs and enjoy some peaceful and serene walks in the parks.
Visit La Santa Cueva where you will find several fine paintings on display by Goya. The stately mansion of Casa del Almirante is worth a visit as is Casa de las Cadenas.
Enjoy evening strolls and the gastronomic delights.
