We are located in front of the beautiful Los Alcornocales with a natural and aromatic scene. Be sure to wake up and look out of your window to start your day with a serene and pleasant feel. Look out to the African mountains and Gibraltar. Early morning coffee will awaken your senses as you ponder the day ahead.
We are just a short drive to Algeciras and Tarifa Town where you will find a fishing town with a moorish feel. There's a depth of history and a wealth of sites to be seen here so be sure to give the place your time. The 8th century Jerez gate has recently been restored and there is a magnificent Church of San Mateo in the centre. Calle de los Azogues is filled with ancient architecture that dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Visit the Arab Castle of Guzman the Bueno which dates back to 960 AD and was built on the orders of Caliph Abderraman III.
The municipal museum is also well worth a visit and is located near the town hall in the main square.
Time to stop for some tapas - there are plenty of bars serving little dishes of tasty morsels and sip that cool beer or local wine and refresh and rest a while.
Tarifa is the town that the little shepherd boy travelled through on his way to Morocco from the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo.
