We are situated in the commercial centre of the city - ideal for those on business or attending exhibitions and conventions. A 5 minute stroll takes you to the Cathedral - considered to be one of the most important Renaissance buildings in Spain. Reputed to be one of the ten wonders of the world is the Alhambra Palace - the "heaven on earth" creation where Sultans of Arabia lived, philosophised and kept secrets. In the evenings head for the area just below the Palace known as Paseo de los Tristes and here you will find an abundance of tapas bars and places to sit, relax and mingle with the people.
Opposite the Palace is the Arabian Quarter - Albaicin - here is where you find a true sense of Arabian life - filled with handicrafts, arts, jewells, incense and ancient architecture.
There is plenty of shopping in the city - centred around Puerta Real, Gran Via de Colon and Reyes Catolicos - everything from mainstream shops with the latest in fashion to antiques, tableclothes, lace and anything Moroccan.
Fiestas, festivals and Flamenco are always on here - something to celebrate such as Corpus Cristi with processions and bullfights, the Festival of Albaicin in June where you will see processions of horses and horse-drawn coaches.
At the end of June is the time to celebrate the International Music and Dance Festival in open air theatre in the Generalife Gardens. Super atmosphere.
