There are six beaches to choose from with a 7km promenade stretching from Torremolinos to Benalmadena - golden sandy beaches, clear waters and safe places for you to swim, soak up the sunshine and revive mind, body and soul.
Watersports include paragliding, water ski-ing, windsurfing and pedal boats. Plenty of other options to exercise with several golf courses close by, walking along the coastline and enjoying the rock formations and views out to sea or attending the local gym where you can part-take in step, aerobics, dance, body conditioning and weight training. Too much activity? Then sit in a quiet cafe bar, sip a cafe con leche and simply watch the world go by and the boats on the water.
There is plenty of shopping here with a lovely pedestrianised area on Calle San Miguel - filled with boutiques, lingerie, accessory, jewellers, gift stores and shoe shops. There's a market every Thursday morning behind the Town Hall which is fun and full of characters, life and colour.
There are three main art galleries that are worth visiting in the town and gorgeous gardens and peaceful parks where you can stroll, enjoy the beautiful flowers, exotic trees and simply bathe in the oasis of nature that has been created here.
