The Alhambra Palace is the most famous sight and reportedly one of the ten wonders of the world. Exquisite interior and a true sense of Arabian living where Sultans shared secrets and delighted in the best of the best in lifestyle. Opposite the Palace is the Arabian Quarter - El Albacin filled with handicrafts, art work, pottery and wise locals who have a tale or two to tell. Find an authentic cafe bar and order a few tapas, whilst you watch the world go by.

There are 70 miles of golden sandy beaches all along Costa del Sol so be sure to spend time soaking up the sunshine and splashing in the sea. The Sierra Nevada mountains sit protectively behind Granada - wonderful ski-ing and panoramic views to be enjoyed by keen walkers and photographers.

Some of the other sights to visit should include the Monastery of Sacromonte, Palace of the Madraza and the Cathedral with its five naves and considered to the most important Renaissance building of Spain - combining Gothic and Renaissance style. The Royal Chapel dates back to 1505 and displays paintings and objects d'art that are to be viewed and enjoyed.

The night life here is buzzing with bars, restaurants, jazz and Flamenco - head for the areas of Pedro Alarcon, Plaza Nueva and Calle Elvira.

Good stuff: It was basic for what I wanted, just an overnight stay. Had bathroom facilities.

Bad stuff: TV wasn't working.

Overall: I was happy with my stay in the Hotel.
