Take a walk in to the centre where you can view the historical sites - the Cathedral, Almudaina Palace and gardens, the Arab Baths and the Bellver Castle on the hill - lovely views from here and well worth the walk.
Why not take the train up to Soller, leaving from Placa d'Espanya each day - its a 27km trip and you get to see the beautiful plant life and bird life in the mountains behind Palma - at the top you are treated to the best views and the 17th century manor house there.
Afternoons are for keeping cool, enjoying long delicious drinks in the shade and taking life easy. Planning for evening time really depends on what festivals and fiestas are taking place and where and what you want to eat - lots of choice restaurants, lively bars and clubs and the chance to attend the theatre, concerts and see that special ballet or musical rendition - all spectrums are catered for here.
