Wonderful sightseeing with churches, museums and the ancient Cathedral - once a Mosque and now displaying sculptures and art work from days gone by. Alcazabar dates back to the 700's and is found on the way up to Castillo del Gilbralfaro. Wonderful views and both tell their own story.
Be sure to pay homage to Picasso's Foundation and his Casa Natal - birth place. Arts and crafts are to be found in the market which is a well organised and clean venue - spacious and enjoyable.
Days on the beach are a must with a choice of places to go and see - all along the coastline - Competa, Estepona, Periana, Ronda, Benalmadena and Torremolinos are all worth exploring.
Take time for a leisurely lunch with tapas and salads and simply relax. There are gardens and parks to be explored and a stroll in the botanical gardens of La Concepcion as well as - El Parque which runs alongside Paseo del Parque.
Festivals, processions, fireworks, celebrations are normal events. Regular shows include Jazz, Flamenco and there's a bandstand in Malaga Park where you'll find open air entertainment.
