Close to the historical sight of La Sagrada Familia - designed by Gaudi and estimated to take 200 years to complete - this is a must see, be prepared to climb numerous steps up one of the steeples where you will be rewarded with breathtaking views across the city. Every time you visit its never the same - constantly under construction and taking new shape with each passing day. From this vantage point you have a few options............
Visit the Bullring Museum a few blocks away and then head down to Arc de Triomphe which leads to the large Park where you will find the Modern Art Museum and the Zoo. This area then leads you to the Olympic Village and golden sandy beaches where you can soak up the sun, splash in the sea and relax. At the end of the day you could head up Rambla Del Poblenou - the older part of the city - with its own Ramblas, strewn with interesting shops, locals enjoying each other's company and a cool evening beer. From here jump in a taxi toward Plaza des Glories and back up to your base where you can relax, have a hydro massage, relax, refresh and be ready to attend the evening theatre, opera, intimate dinner in one of the many restaurants in the centre and absorb the ambiance of this vibrant city.
