Shopping is largely made up of artisan fayre including leather works which were introduced by the Arabs, Cordoba hats - a must buy! guitars, silverware and jewellery. Speciality shops where you can buy cheeses, hams, cured meats and local produce are plentiful.
Walk across the Roman Bridge, past the Moorish Waterwheels to the other side of the Guadalquivir River where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city.
An abundance of churches, palaces, monuments and ancient architecture all combine with some fine restaurants with local and international cuisine and wonderful wines - take the time to relax, mingle with the locals and breath in the air.
Trips out to the surrounding countryside are advised and one of the most beautiful routes is the Olive Oil Route which takes you through old villages where you will spot castles, lush landscapes, olive trees and orange trees.
