Just a short walk and you will find a small shopping centre and there's plenty on offer in the main town of Cuitadella.

Throughout the year there are events, parades and celebrations going on and June, July and August will see events such as San Juan and horses form the main part of this event. There's horse riding, dressage and dance. Music and laughter fill the air and there's always an excuse to let off a few fireworks.

Enjoy the Spanish social scene and mingle with the locals - head for the markets where you will find a colourful and character filled array of stallholders, goods and gifts - leather, jewellery, bags, shoes, sandals and clothing as well as locally grown fresh produce, olives, nuts and sweets.

Lazy days in the sunshine are just the ticket - head for the beaches, build those sand castles and relax with the family.

Good stuff: Close to beaches, snorkling, diving and good hotel pool.

Bad stuff: Would have appreciated tables and chairs around the pool. When you are a family it is cheaper to go by taxi than rent bikes! Lower the price for bike rental!

Overall: Good and piecful place for family stay if you want sun, swimming and snorkling. If you want to get out in evenings for disco and dancing you have to go out from Calablanca to Ciutadella.
