Take the bus to get in to the centre quickly and easily - it's a fun way and quite an experience if you travel in rush hour but there's a general feel of unification and happiness as you approach Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas where the cosmopolitan people all converge. Shopping, tapas bars, jewellers, birds, flowers, stalls and just a general feel of joy as you stroll down one of the largest avenues in Europe.
