There is much to do and see here in Palma - apart from taking strolls along La Rambla and Passeig des Born there are numerous festivals and fiestas taking place throughout the year. January 17th is an all time favourite when Sant Antoni is celebrated - he is the patron saint of animals and there is singing, dancing, bonfires and the roasting of Botifarrons (sausages) as well as parades on horseback and a plenty of wine flowing. Its a fun time and starts the scene for celebrations throughout the year.

There are a good choice of museums - art, archaeology and the history and culture of Mallorca which is deep and interesting. There are a couple of myths and legends associated with the island too - the Dragon that was slain and his remains can be seen in the Diocesan Museum and the Witches who healed one man with a hump but gave it to another who got angry with them - the moral to these stories is - Dragons do exist and Never get angry with a Witch!
