Arguably the best part of town to stay in and with sights on your doorstep that will delight all the family. From the square walk towards the Museum of Art and spend time there viewing and admiring the works - a real treat. Head up toward Montjuic - the Mountain of the Jews - either on foot or using the escalators, you are rewarded with panoramic views across the city and the sea. Montjuic is home to the Olympic Stadium, the complex known as the Spanish Village - a tribute to all the different styles of villages throughout Spain and strewn with gift shops, shoe makers, jewellers, artisan style shops, cool cafes and restaurants and shady seating areas where you can simply relax and watch the world go by.

A real family treat is the fairground on Montjuic - try the churros with chocolate - a traditional Spanish style hot sweet that you dip in to the chocolate sauce - delicious.

In the evenings enjoy fabulous fountain displays blended with colour and mystical music to complete a truly magical day out.

Other sights to visit in the city include Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, Port and beaches, Olympic Village and the most famous sight of all La Sagrada Familia - designed by Gaudi and estimated to take 200 years to complete.

Good stuff: The style and location of the hotel were excellent. We liked the little extras such as the free mini bar and coffees downstairs in the main lobby.

Bad stuff: The room was too hot. The air conditioning didn't work very well.

Overall: Great and we hope to use this hotel again later this year.
