Granada Travel Guide

A look at the incredible buildings give you an idea of Granada's history and majesty. Some of the local restaurants are very worthy of note. Great local food alongside the magnificent views from some of them. They really have got to be seen to be believed. There are no two ways to say it. If you want to see Spain you have got to see Granada. Your hotels in Granada are ready and waiting for your reservation.

The name of the town originated from the Spanish word meaning pomegranate. This fruit is readily available all over the area and appears in the coat of arms of the city. Long ago this place was settled by the Iberians. At that time it was called Elibyrge. The Romans have a history here, finally pushing the Moors out and away across the Mediterranean Sea.

Silk was the main source of income for a time here. Its esteemed position close to Malaga helped the situation. If you are on the way from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea you are bound to pick up passing trade.
